"civilians" arent real you made that word up to protect the backend of your war machine

@ZiaNitori If I was in charge of a war, I would not target 'civilians', not because of morality (which I have one but not the point), but because historically it has been shown that it's counter productive. It's easier to win a war with an apathetic population

@Remigius i mean of course. i just think it's annoying when people uncritically use rhetoric that can and will be used against people at odds with the rest of their society, this is like calling something you dont like "terrorism"

@Remigius property crimes are already considered crimes against a person. if some ecoterrorist for totally random example decided to fuck up a bunch of farms during a big food production crisis to accelerate the collapse of the empire which hunts them this rhetoric would be deployed left and right and only a handful of anarchists would be debating on if this was an acceptable target or whatever. you're taught to think of the products of domination over land by the state as entitled to you and the targeting of this stuff to be "war crimes against civilians" when the eco terrorist would be seeing these blights spreading poison and creating deserts and draining aquifers and feeding pigs and citizens who enforce the states norms as a direct threat to their well being
