i don't actually have a blanket stance on forgiveness but i do think people have the right to seek new communities after losing the trust of the one they're in.

if we kick somebody out we are no longer in a position to assess whether they've changed or are deserving of anything or not. at that point that's not our decision anymore! identifying untouchables and becoming the police to enforce it outside of the community is such a monumental distraction from doing something helpful within the community
