it's really important to understand that most people have literally zero issue with being governed, they just dont like the bits that make them feel disrespected but the standards for what's considered respectful governance drops every single year in typical wagie race to the bottom fashion. todays radicals are yesterdays upwardly mobile progressives who've been burned by having too romantic of a notion about how society ought to be run so they cry about the fight for a living wage and random social programs that make them feel like their government cares about them because at the base of it all is daddy issues naturally

if you value your autonomy the goal is obvious, make yourself and others unable to be captured by the state, it literally cannot function if it needs to expend significant energy to make even of a fraction of it's population work how it wants. normal slavery as a system collapsed because it's an incredibly costly endeavor to try to more or less completely reign in labour by force, but every "revolutionary" thinks that the best revolutionary subject is a troop but for a red flag instead of something that is fundamentally hostile to being used by power because they dont want to dismantle what exists at all. they look at the state with jealousy and resentment, not as something to be destroyed but something to be subverted and captured for their own grand plans. in doing so they provide a pathway back into the power structure for all the troops they've created who will eventually learn to be at peace with the powers that dominate them as they age and think they're still a radical by being in a workplace union they didnt start. they will continue to arm feed entertain and service the guards that keep them bound and decry anyone with more of a spine than them as some form of adventurist that gets in the way of working class unity.

any communist who comes to the conclusion that one of the worst things about capitalism is that people are divided and cant do a heckin collectivism have completely opposite politics to me. if you have even the slightest bit of self respect it's obvious that organized or centralized power is the biggest threat to your autonomy, stop talking about how the working class whatever the fuck that's supposed to mean is being divided

think i'm gonna spend the day tripping and collecting cow manure for the compost

broke a pickaxe today in a vicious struggle with a huge blackberry root cluster. we might be able to fix it but if not we gotta get new handle

good chance i'm gonna have infinity wood chips, this is what real wealth looks like

i really need to get another source of wood chips cause the pile we're using is going to be out once we're down with the garden. there are 3 big spots i wanna get chips down on (the treeline by the pasture fence behind the house, the area between the compost and the grapevines in front of the pond, and by the drainage pipe(s)) and if i can get chips down before the winter i'm way more prepared for spring. i'll prob try to talk to joe and kammys mom to see if they know anyone or can look some stuff up. still gotta get some shitty tarp stuff up from one of the areas and i'd eventually like to get a lot of work down out behind the pond but hopefully by then the compost is what i'm depositing in bulk though i'll still want some wood chips i think. need to find a few good spots to grow mushrooms, both the tasty and recreational(therapeutic) kind. we've got a whole cow pasture so it shouldnt be hard i've just gotta looks some stuff up and get some innoculant and i should be good. i suspect the area under the trees behind the house will be a really nice spot for mushrooms of all kinds once i get a bunch of chips down there. also wanna get some grows set up inside cause i do want to get a decent volume of them cause i need a lot more than other people seem to to get much of an effect.

got the brambles around the sprinklers cleared, we just gotta transport them over to the compost from where they were cut in the pasture, then we throw a bunch of manure on top of them, then buzz down the overgrown pathway near the pond, throw that stuff on top, then finish mowing the grass and rake that up on top. waiting on more garden progress until kammy and i can get up and shovel more dirt at joes place

gonna make some more progress on the vines in the garden area today and also fast. should be hitting the brambles tomorrow so the last big layer of material can get on the compost

got the two trees planted and starting to expand the front garden. not gonna dig up the clay, just put a bunch of dirt on some lawn spot and gonna cover it really deep with chips. gonna start clearing the vines out from the wall and put chips down and get the grapes there supported and get rid of the brambles trying to cover them. soaked the compost with pond water but i'd really like to get a lot more material on there both from the garden and the brambles and some other green material nearby the compost to help decompose things underneath better. know how to mess with the irrigation lines in a few places better now

anyone who thinks it's remotely ok to program a thing that asks you to select between "yes/continue" or "remind me later" needs to be viciously killed for being an evil rapey piece of shit holy fuck

decided to spend more time getting a thicker layer of mulch on the garden but the weedwhacker should be good to go for clearing brambles tomorrow

got the paper/cardboard in the compost under a bunch of the grass yesterday, today the plan is to take care of the brambles by the sprinklers provided i can get the weedwhacker going and get more chips down in the garden

sort of lazy day because i was in a wow dungeon longer than i thought but alie got more chips in the garden and i got to give the cows a big treat from some of the grass i was raking up. bro just walked over to me while i was raking up and really liked it i'm assuming cause it was more fresh cut so i brought out a bunch for them when i went out to swap the sprinklers. really looking forward to growing and harvesting that a lot more intentionally for them.
