not that my say goes very far but, i'd like it if "mastodon" wasn't the word that got popularized.

@exiliaex i hope that as more people use activitypub platforms (i think tumblr is going to move towards an activitypub implementation?), 'mastodon' as a term will be used less.
among people who've been using this for a while (mostly people on my instance) i see 'fedi' used more often than 'mastodon'.
