@eris explicit "official" federation would be cool. like "disqordia and anarch.cc are joining together as The Discordant Anarchists Federation" but still remaining autonomous entities and then you could have access to that joined timeline as its own thing, separate from the broader "federated timeline"
@exiliaex Akkoma has a "Recommended Instances" timeline the admin can select instances manually for, and I've thought about that being a good way to branch into a feature like that... But I've also lost interest in the Akkoma project as it's sacrificed a lot of features and is run by one person

@exiliaex @eris this is kinda like what akkoma already has with bubble timelines. even without a technical interface though, it would still be a good idea imo to start forming federations like this with some shared principles -- strictly in a positive sense of like "we're all instances who are chill with each other, if you fit the vibe choose an account on one of them", not in a way to encourage more performative fediblocking drama mongering bullshit
