@exiliaex i think he means that incest as a concept is used to maintain the hegemony surrounding family dynamics. it reifies the idea that children are subordinate to parents by claiming that there is some inherent power dynamic between parent and child where the parent is always the one with power over the kid.
i don't think it's to say "go fuck ur kids" but instead a "we socially construct child and parent using this framework which then drives how we see kids generally."
i'll need to read more of this text to get his point though lol
