ive been getting so much better at learning the birds and the plants around me i love all these little lives 🥰

@exiliaex there's been so many of these little lives nagging at my mind in this forest-choked area i live in, any tips/resources you recommend on how to learn about it all? 🌳

@detondev depends on how much time you have and what kind of lives you want to connect with - but, i would recommend grabbing a couple identification guides for your area alongside getting a couple of apps - there are apps which will listen to birdcalls and try to guess what kind of birds they might be, and there are apps which, if you take a picture, will try to tell you what plant you're looking at. it's an excellent way to get started!

i've started using the "iNaturalist" app (which has a companion app named "seek") which does this. a partner of mine has the bird app, i'll have to ask them what its called.

@detondev the name of the bird app is Merlin! its made by cornell university ornithology department
