fundamentally, I think most solutions to create a Palestinian state by most leftists are failing to consider the difficulty of creating a secular state given the political and religious context of the region and having it be supported enough to survive the immediate internal and external threats it would face. also, like, hamas isn't going anywhere. you still have to deal with what happens when you de-escalate a situation that has been fought over by religious extremists.

ending the genocide of the Palestinians is priority number one, full stop. your solution is worthless if it does not begin at the cessation of the bombing and killing of innocent children and the eviction or destruction of poor families from their homes, but as soon as that problem is solved you have a myriad of other issues that, imo, prevent there from being stability in the region one state, two state, or whatever.

a lot of particularly mayo colored leftists seem to feel free to plant whatever cockamamie flag or border in the soil there without any thought put in to the agency of Palestinians living there or towards making any sense of the material reality on the ground there.

tl;dr this post was pointless because really all you should be doing is calling for an end to genocide and an end to the fascist state currently facilitating it. boycott, divest, and protest at your discretion. just stop with the hearts of iron iv ass wankery tbh. it's not even you guys on here. it's mostly tankies. god I hate tankies.
