I'm not a fan of national flags because I'm neither a fan of patriotism nor nationalism but I don't mind state flags so much, particularly if they represent states with relatively progressive government policy.
Minnesota's old flag was pretty racist, btw. The new flag is an absolute improvement.

@timberwraith While removing racist symbology is good, it doesn’t change the actual history of white supremacy in Minnesota or make the state less racist. The very existence of the state depends on the dispossession and genocide of the native peoples of the land.
