Well… pretty much our entire family in Lebanon has evacuated Beirut and southern Lebanon. In the 80’s, the Lebanese side of our family evacuated and went to Syria where complete strangers were opening their homes to people forced to flee from the war. Welcoming in entire families. Muslims and Christians living together and going to church together to pray. That’s not currently an option though. And no one wants to leave their homeland. It’s only a temporary solution. Sure, where they are is *safer* - but Lebanon is tiny. Nowhere is truly safe. If things stay like this, they will need to figure something else out. Lebanon is running out of resources. Gas, food, medical supplies… pretty much nothing is getting in now.
I know we will prevail. There will be a lot of destruction, inshallah mostly material. That can be rebuilt. It’s already been done 8 times and they can do it again. I know we will prevail.
