One of the things that the Elder Scrolls does well is that it integrates your character’s stats and abilities into their whole life in a way you don’t see more traditional RPGs. It’s seamless in a way that games like Final Fantasy and Dragon Age aren’t. When you feel powerful in ES combat you feel powerful as a person in the world. With many other games there’s a disconnect where you aren’t sure how your combat power of being able to do 2000 damage and kill a dragon actually applies in the world. It’s often unclear what you can actually *do.*
