the easiest way to tell whether someone actually cares about victims of child sexual assault or whether theyre just using our trauma to instigate moral panics is whether they talk about dismantling power structures and educating the young... or whether theyre inventing evil cabals.

@exiliaex Wife Generated Comment- 100% everything you said- I think it's also worth remembering that the patterns of abuse are repeated in the conservative/right spaces still, and the adults that are being triggered by the cabal conspiracy theories likely have unprocessed trauma, like the conspiracy theorists are using the right's trauma against them, in a very real sense they are being emotionally abused by the MAGA propaganda they cling to.

you can see pedophilia in a child holding a teddy bear but you cant see it in your own families.
