changing what kind of masto instance im running is probably gonna be a pain... but the ability to set local only posts is too strong...
@exiliaex Oh it's so worth it! I run Akkoma here which has local posts as well and it's really nice.
Glitch-soc is a great fork if that's what you're considering, gives you extra theming options and character limit options too.

@eris yeah, it seems like it'd be really useful... right now i'm considering either glitch-soc or hometown
@eris though, i have already edited the character limit options myself, but if one of these has the ability to edit it without having to root in that'd be nice
@exiliaex glitch-soc has it in the config.yml file so you just edit that pretty easily, I'd also recommend increasing the emoji size limit so remote emojis don't constantly break like they do on Mastodon by default lol
