@exiliaex
"Génération (histoire sociale et politique" by Hervé Hamon and Patrick Rotman is considered a reference. It's a big ass book resulting from years of inquest and thousands of interviews but narrated as if it was a novel. It minutiously traces the events within all the leftist political factions at the time and the decade before and after 1968. I don't know if it was ever translated.

@exiliaex I haven't read any books on it but i've been planning to read "The Red Years: Theory, Politics, and Aesthetics in the Japanese '68" by Gavin Walker
