wi spa video script is 29 pages with an additional five pages of sources. came out of my room and everybody was like "where were you all day" and I couldn't say "snorting facts to get a youtube high"

I'm always supremely put out when I get approached by cisgender women who specifically want to advance transphobic arguments directly to my face. I don't know what they expect to get out of that but it bums me out immensely.

new plan: thinking of making every video essay that goes live in july a kind of response video, to grab people's attention. then slowly over the next couple months covering more stuff as topics independent of commenting on other youtuber's videos. I've already got some responses lined up so I think it'll work nicely.

I've been wondering lately whether rage is all I have left. Sometimes it has felt as if there were times when only anger kept me going. My only counter to that feeling is that there are people who have carried me when I couldn't keep going, so I know compassion also matters.

I've also already decided that next month's patron essay and possibly the following month's as well will be discussing even more women's literature, some american and some british.

I'm thinking it has to be the justpearlythings response, the next noah smith response or the black aragorn video, but all three will take some research, so we'll see as it all unfolds.

big joel response is scripted and done. gonna record, edit and schedule the upload tomorrow, along with the little women patron essay. the comes reworking the blade essay and deciding which other essay to upload in july.

is big joel a communist or a socialist? or just vaguely kind of left or liberal? it came up while I was writing and I kind of left it open but I do wonder

in other news the little women patron essay will be up soon, probably this weekend. going to try to finish the big joel response in that timeframe as well.

not sure if I'm ever going to finish/record/upload this response to CJ the X -- I really have a hard time navigating their views about art without being overly harsh. it feels like it would seem uncalled for in terms of negative energy. but sometimes you meet a perfectly fine person who says something about art that just makes you think, "hmmm, okay, well, you're sort of inhuman." like realizing a person you're talking to is the grim reaper. not evil. just kind of antithetical to life.
