@nyx @rowb1t I was back in the zone. It was the Obama Administration again and I was downloading whole discographies. I even replaced iTunes, which I had used to manage music since 2007. After ten years in the spotify wilderness I had come back home.

The issue was my old piracy sources all eventually died and I literally didn’t know about soulseek until now. I thought it was like last.fm and was a music social media site…

@nyx @rowb1t i just started using soulseek the other day. My library expanded from 8,000 to 10,000 tracks in a single day, and that’s not counting all the albums I replaced with better versions

@nyx @unmind i remember being like 13 or 14 and realizing that Linkin Park was cringe but also I listened to Queen and classical music and it took me until I was almost 15 to resolve that conflict by just becoming extremely emo and deciding that Linkin Park was cringe because it was for posers who weren’t really in the scene.

I still secretly liked Linkin Park the whole time.

@emilia-miki @azureazure @arcana @nyx it was like this when I lived in Idaho, too. The sheriff drove confiscated sports cars as personal vehicles and my stepdad got fired for arresting the son of a one of the town aristocrats after he got into a bar fight.

@nyx @emilia-miki @azureazure Yeah you get stickers if you donate to the policeman’s association. If you don’t have those stickers or if your local patrol officers know they can’t get free stuff at your store they get awfully slow at responding to robberies.
